What is an user agent?
A user agent is a client application most commonly used to access the World Wide Web. Web user agents range from web browsers and e-mail clients to search engine crawlers ("spiders"), as well as mobile phones, screen readers and braille browsers.

Yesterday Apple presented the world’s fastest web browser (quote apple.com). You can download a beta version for Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. Apple claims Safari 4 brings 150 features.
